Game of the Week VI
With four major conference showdowns featuring top 20 teams, it is another barn burner of a weekend around the country. Let’s start out west, where 11th ranked Oregon will look to prove they are a contender and number 16 Cal will try to avoid repeating their week one blunder. Should be a classic lighten ‘em up Pac-Ten scoring afternoon.
In the Big 12, Texas and OU, 7th and 14th respectively, will meet in Dallas. Texas must win to keep their title hopes alive with the winner looking likely to compete for the conference title come December.
13th ranked Tennesse and 10th ranked Georgia will tie into one another between the hedges Saturday night. Tennessee has to win to stay in the SEC East hunt. This will begin following the cajun seafood sampler pitting the 9th ranked Tigers of LSU in the Swamp against number 5 Florida. If the Tigers are able to upset number 5 Florida then it will really will be game on in Athens. Look for another low scoring affair as the best defense in the land attempts to wrap-up the tandem quarterbacks of Leak and Tebow in Gainesville.
