Week 2 of the BCS Standings

Texas takes top honors in Week 2 of the BCS standings, with the slimmest margin between number 1 and number 2 ever. Just .0007 points separates the Longhorns from the Trojans. Texas’ top ranking makes this the 24th week Big 12 teams have been atop the BCS poll. The next closest conference is the Pac-10 with, you guessed it, ten.
Northwestern, Colorado and Michigan replace Tennessee, Nebraska and Michigan State in this weeks poll.
Only once has a championship game not included either the number 1 or number 2 team with six weeks to go in the season. This was in 1998 when Tennesse and Florida State were #3 and #5, respectively, with six weeks remaining.
